This site serves two purposes. A public one, where I want to present various data. One of my great interests is history in its many different disciplines. I am however especially interested in “daily life” in Denmark in the 18th and 19th century. As a by-product of my dissertation I have made my data base of Danish civil servants (incl. officers and pastors) available and hope in the future to be able to offer more material. I have also made a data base of my very extended family accessible. I have been interested in family history since I was in my early twenties and have the last 30 to 40 years collected a lot of data. All information of living people is of course blocked in order to respect their privacy. A private one via login for friends and relatives. Here you will find photos and more information of our family. If you consider yourself to fall into that category and haven’t yet received a password please contact me. |

If you use data from my family tree be sure to use the right references to the source. Five to six years ago I had a "small" mishap with my database that meant that some of the references to sources can be wrong. I have of course corrected all those I have found, but with more than 24.000 events it is a very lengthy process. The principal rule is that the reference number is 2 numbers from the correct one, so it is fairly easy to correct. Unfortunately the mistake was not consistent throughout the database, which would have been so much easier to fix. The moral of all this is...............Be sure that the update of your program was successful before you reuse your backup medias. |
